The facilites at Camp Cheerio and Cheerio Adventures offer a wide variety of possibilities during the months when camp is not in session.

Cheerio Nation, the Y-Guides and Y-Princesses program at the High Point YMCA, has used the facilities at Camp Cheerio for their annual Pow Wows since 1958. This program's goal is to strengthen the father/child relationship by providing opportunities for fathers to make lasting memories with their children.

The Mother/Daughter Weekend is a fun filled weekend of quality mother/daughter time, with activities that include Archery, BBs, Climbing, Canoeing, Mini-Golf and Arts & Crafts, plus taking advantage of Cheerio's tennis courts, gym, disc golf course, and hiking trails.

Cheerio hosts three Family Camp weekends each year. The weekend includes fun and activities for all ages and is great chance to have a Cheerio experience with the whole family.

Group Retreats offers groups an opportunity to incorporate wilderness adventure activities into exciting camping experience.  With fresh meals, modern accommodations, versatile meeting space, and traditional camp activities Cheerio is a great place for a mountaintop retreat.  We routinely host youth groups, Boy/Girl Scouts, Y-Guides/Princesses, churches, family reunions, student organizations, and even business retreats.

Outdoor Adventure Education offers public and private school groups a chance to experience outdoor activites that build team spirit and build self esteem for all members of the group. Elementary school, middle school, junior high school and high school age students experience and learn team building skills, cooperation, getting to know each other better, and a higher self-esteem.

Senior Adult Camp allows seniors to enjoy the facilities and activites as Camp Cheerio and the fellowship of the residential camp experience.  Fishing, guided morning walks, canoeing, arts and crafts, ping-pong, archery, riflery, skeet shooting, card games, bingo, and tennis are some of the many activities you may participate in while at Cheerio.
