Sarah Cate NilesSarah Cate Niles is from Cary, NC and will be a Junior Counselor during Girls Camp this summer. Having been at Cheerio for 9 years, Sarah Cate is excited to finally be on staff and take on the role as her counselors she has looked up to all of her years at camp. Sarah Cate loves spending time outside, whether is be for Crew or just hanging with her friends and family.

Julia NelliganJulia Nelligan is going to be a Senior Counselor during Girls Camp. She is from Lynchburg VA and is attending University of Georgia. Julia's favorite camp food is pizza and is so excited to meet all of her campers this summer. She lives by the motto, "Anything is possible for those who try"!

Calvin KoonceCalvin Koonce will be a first year Junior Counselor this summer during Coed Camp. Calvin's favorite camp game is Predator-Prey. A fun fact about Calvin is that he is left handed, unless he is casting a fishing rod, which he does with his right hand. He is excited to hang out with the children in his cabin and can't wait for the Fajitas and the French Toast this summer.

Ginger DudleyGinger Dudley is from Raleigh NC and this will be her 10th summer at Cheerio this year. She will be serving as a Junior Counselor during Girls Camp. Ginger loves dried strawberries and her favorite camp meal is corn dogs with mac-n-cheese. If you happen to catch Ginger with a little down time, you may just see her knitting finger puppets!

Katherine WestcottKatherine Westcott is from Winston-Salem and attends UNC Chapel Hill. Katherine will be a Senior Counselor this summer during Coed Camp. She is looking forward to providing her campers the "coolest" experience, just as her counselors did for her throughout all of her years at Cheerio. Katherine says there is no more rewarding way to spend your summer than being with the kids at Camp Cheerio.

Isabel PerryWelcome Isabel Perry to the Cheerio Staff. Isabel attended Cheerio as a camper, but this will be her first summer working. She will be a Senior Counselor during Girls Camp and on the Riding Staff during Coed Camp. Isabel is from Raleigh NC and attends UNC CH. She is most excited for the summer to meet new campers, building relationships with each one. Isabel loves the silliness and sincerity of children of all ages.

Anna Catherine LloydAnna Catherine Lloyd is from Wilmington NC and will a Junior Counselor during Girls Camp this summer. She is very excited to be on staff after being at Cheerio for 7 years. Anna Catherine loves meeting new people, Pop Tarts, flavor blasted Goldfish, and hanging out with her friends and family. To her, children are fun to be around because they provide you with a new learning experience every day.

Claire HuntClaire Hunt is from Charleston SC and has been a part of Camp Cheerio for 7 years. Claire will be a first year Junior Counselor this summer and is very excited to see her returning campers that she had as a CIT as well as meet new campers this summer. A fun fact about Claire is that she is scuba certified and loves to go scuba diving. Claire loves a huge ice-dream cone from Chick-Fil-A as well as the chicken tenders and curly fries at Cheerio.

Rhett DudleyRhett Dudley will be returning for her 11th summer this year. Rhett is from Raleigh NC and attends UNC Chapel Hill. Rhett will be a Senior Counselor during Girls Camp and work on our Climbing Staff for Coed. Mac and Cheese is Rhett's favorite camp food and her favorite snack is candy...specifically Habisco Gummies.

Emma AufdenspringEmma Aufdenspring is excited to finally join the Cheerio Staff as a Junior Counselor after being at Cheerio for 7 years. Emma is from Chapel Hill and lives by the motto, "When is doubt, dance it out"! Creating new relationships and making wonderful camp memories is why Emma is excited for this upcoming summer.

Maggie DoyleMaggie Doyle is going to be one of our Senior Counselors this summer, which will be her 12th year at Cheerio. Maggie is from Lynchburg VA and attends University of Notre Dame. Rock Climbing, exploring, and watching Netflix are just a few of her favorite ways to spend her free time. Maggie is most excited about reconnecting with previous campers, seeing how they have grown, and spending time with new campers this summer.

Rachel WeaverRachel Weaver, from Nashville, TN and as student at Denison University, will be joining us for her 11th summer during Girls Camp as a Senior Counselor. Rachel enjoys cooking for others, works as a DJ at her school's radio station, and is excited to give each of her campers the "Best week of their year" this summer. Camp Cheerio has been a large part of shaping Rachel into the person she is today and she wants to provide the same to her campers.

Katy LinkKaty Link will be a Junior Counselor this summer and is excited for the opportunity to provide the same impact on her campers that she experienced for many years as a camper at Camp Cheerio. Katy is from Chapel Hill and enjoys spending time with her friends and family. Her favorite camp meal is Chicken Patties!

Meredith RoethlingMeredith Roethling, a student at UNC Chapel Hill, will be joining us as a Head Counselor this summer. Meredith is from Goldsboro NC and this will be her 15th summer at Camp Cheerio. In her free time, Meredith enjoys movies or dinner with friends, and especially being outside. Greek yogurt with berries and granola is her absolute favorite snack!

Mary Stuart FountainWe welcome Mary Stuart Fountain back again as a Senior Counselor this summer. Mary Stuart is from Raleigh, NC and attends The University of St. Andrews in Scotland. She grew up at Cheerio as a camper and is excited to return a second year on staff. Her favorite camp meal is Chicken Tenders and Curly Fries. Mary Stuart is looking forward to also having her sister working with her as a Senior Counselor as well this summer.

Baye ReddyThis will be Baye Reddy's first summer on staff with Camp Cheerio, but her 9th summer on the mountaintop. She will be a Senior Counselor for Girls Camp and on our Climbing Staff for Coed. Baye is from Raleigh, NC and attends NCSU. Popcorn is Baye's favorite food, but the pancake breakfast is her favorite camp meal. Baye is studying to become an Elementary School Teacher because she feels working with children is the most rewarding way to spend one's time.

Luke CrockerLuke Crocker will be on staff this summer as a Kitchen Assistant during Girls Camp and a Junior Counselor for Coed. Luke has grown up at camp, but this will be his first time as a staff member. Luke is from High Point, NC and his favorite food is steak. During his free time, you will find Luke either reading or playing his guitar. He is looking forward to be a counselor and spending another summer up on the mountaintop of Cheerio.

Martha DobsonMartha Dobson is the Transportation Director for Camp Cheerio. She's worked at Cheerio as a counselor while in college, with Cheerio weekend groups and Cheerio Education Outreach groups, and on the barn staff. Her daughters attended and worked at Cheerio and her granddaughter loves Cheerio, too. Martha taught in middle school, but now visits Alaska every March to volunteer with the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race, has started hiking sections of the Appalachian Trail, and loves hot tea and reading. Her favorite candy is Snickers.

Katherine DoyleKatherine Doyle, known as "Kat", is from Summerfield NC and will spend her 2nd summer at Cheerio as a Senior Counselor for Girls Camp and part of our Riding Staff for Coed Camp. Kat attends Western Carolina and is studying Environmental Health to become a Bio Safety Worker or a Veterinarian. When asked what a personal motto would be, Kat quoted, "Let your Faith be bigger than your fear". Kat has traveled to 7 countries and will be adding a couple more this year.

Laney HenleyLaney Henley, one of our Junior Counselors for Coed Camp, is from High Point NC. She has been with Cheerio for 10 years and is excited to return on staff again this summer. Although Laney is never one to boast, she did teach herself how to play the guitar and ukulele! She is very excited to meet new campers and see her returning campers, some as campers again and some as CITs. Laney's favorite thing about Cheerio is the way it brings all types of people together, especially kids.
