Virginia Flora DavisVirginia Flora Davis, known to many as "VF", will be at Girls Camp this summer as a Junior Counselor. VF has lived abroad with her family for the last 4 years, currently residing in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Each summer, however, VF has been able to return to Camp Cheerio, this being her first on staff. Virginia Flora swims competitively and her favorite snack is a wonderful Trail Mix.

Reagan PetersReagan Peters will be joining us this summer as a Senior Counselor for Girls Camp. Reagan is from LaGrange, GA and attends Kennesaw State University. When asked why she is choosing to spend her summer at Camp Cheerio, Reagan responded, "I love all of the people that camp brings together, whether it's the children or the staff, every friendship I make at camp really lasts a life time. I could not imagine missing out on such an experience." She also wants to make it clear that her favorite snack is Whales...not Goldfish!

Mary Grace BlakeMary Grace Blake, from Wilmington NC, is excited to be serving as a Junior Counselor this summer. She hopes to give the same experience and treasured moments she had as a camper, to all of her campers this summer. Mary Grace says that at home she is a pretty messy person, but at camp, she works diligently to be clean in order to win honor cabin. She has a sweet tooth, particularly for Reese's Cups and Twizzlers

Kendall StephensonKendall Stephenson will be joining Cheerio as a Senior Counselor during Coed Camp. Kendall was a previous camper and CIT, but this will be her first full summer on staff. Kendall is from Raleigh NC and attends UNC Chapel Hill. Her favorite camp meal is Chicken Tenders and her favorite snack is popcorn and firecracker popsicles. Kendall's personal fun fact is that she is a SUPERB parallel parker AND, she only has 3 wisdom teeth?

Caleb CheyneyCaleb Cheyney is from Harrisburg, NC and will be working as a Kitchen/Activity Staff member for Girls Camp and as a Junior Counselor for Coed. When Caleb has free time, he enjoys hanging with friends, comedy, and playing basketball. He loves working with kids because children offer the best comedy and genuine excitement for all things, that you would not normally find in other age groups. Caleb enjoys Scooby Doo Graham Cracker Sticks as his favorite snack.

Eric OrcuttEric Orcutt is from High Point NC and attends UNC Charlotte. He is currently studying Elementary Education and will be at Camp Cheerio this summer as both a Program Director and Head Counselor. Although Eric lives in the South, he is a die-hard Syracuse fan. Some of his campers and fellow staff friends call Eric, "Ewok" or "ECutty" and he will answer to any of his nicknames. Eric is most excited about returning to Cheerio, a place that is a second home to him, where he can make a true impact in the lives of children.

Kiran JohalKiran Johal will be joining us for the second summer this year at Cheerio. She will be serving as a Senior Counselor during Coed Camp. Kiran is studying Criminal Justice at UNC Charlotte and plans to either become a police officer or teach criminal justice at an institute. Kiran is an honest, outgoing, and energetic personality and enjoys meeting new people and making connections with her campers.

Gretchen BlankinshipGretchen Blankinship will be joining the Cheerio Staff as an Assistant Riding Director during Coed Camp this summer. Gretchen has been at Cheerio before, but was never able to experience a full session. She is most excited about her first game of Thrive this summer. Gretchen is from High Point NC and attends UNC Chapel Hill where she is studying Biology. Her favorite snack is a Fresca and a hot bagel with cream cheese.

Jay DixonJay Dixon is so very excited to join our staff this summer. In his own words, "When I was a camper, I never had a poor experience. It was always a blast-- a week of singing, dancing, and fun activities. When I decided not to pursue being a CIT after I aged out, every year after, when I would visit, I missed it. Finally, I get to work at the best place on earth!" Jay is from Winston Salem NC, attends Wake Forest University, and will be a Senior Counselor for Coed Camp. Welcome Jay!

Lizzy CampbellLizzy Campbell will be on staff with us the entire summer. She will be working as part of the Kitchen/Activity Staff for Girls Camp and will be a Junior Counselor for Coed. Lizzy loves to play music, write plays and screenplays, and hopes to become a filmmaker or playwright one day. Lizzy is excited about providing the same experience to campers this summer that she had as a camper for 8 years.

Jack NickensJack Nickens is from Raleigh NC and plans to attend UNC CH next year. He will be joining us on staff this summer for his second year as a Junior Counselor. Jack enjoys hunting, fishing, reading, and laughing. This summer he is excited to return to Cheerio again and help young campers grow spiritually.

Roark McLeanRoark McLean will be joining us this summer as a Senior Counselor for Coed Camp and on Climbing Staff for Girls Camp. Roark has grown up coming to Cheerio, this year being his 12th summer. During Roark's free time as a student at UNC Chapel Hill, he enjoys running, watching UNC basketball, hanging out with friends, and reading. Peanut Butter is Roark's favorite food, but his favorite camp meal is cold cuts.

Jack DozierJack Dozier is from Chapel Hill and attends Duke University. For Jack's 9th summer at Cheerio, he is most excited about being a Senior Counselor, providing the best week of each camper's year! Cheerio is a "home away from home" for Jack and says that the friendships he has made at Cheerio over the years are friends for a lifetime. Jack's goal is to attend medical school and become a pediatrician.

Emma HallEmma Hall is from Spartanburg SC, attends Auburn University and is studying Human Development and Family Studies. She plans to pursue a career as a parent educator, a marriage counselor, or a marriage and family therapist. This will be Emma's second year as a Senior Counselor for Camp Cheerio. She is excited to return and see her campers grow and develop, both from last year and her new campers this summer.

Caroline KunkelCaroline Kunkel is choosing to work at Camp Cheerio this summer as a Junior Counselor during Coed Camp. Having the opportunity to give girls the experience that she had at Cheerio, as a camper, is priceless! Caroline enjoys running and hanging out with her friends, especially if it involves food. When asked to give 4 traits about her, Caroline said she is joyful, energetic, complementary, and outgoing.

Jake KeenanThis summer will be Jake Keenan's 13th, as a camper, CIT, Junior Counselor, and now as a Senior Counselor. Jake will also be a part of the Climbing Staff during Girls camp and is looking forward to another opportunity to continue helping shape the hearts and minds of his campers. Jake's favorite camp food is chicken tenders and he is also a big fan of popcorn. Jake is from Huntersville NC and attends Ole Miss.

Anna DanielsAnna Daniels, from Goldsboro NC, will be joining us this summer as a Junior Counselor for Coed Camp. One day, Anna hopes to become an Interior Designer, but in the meantime is so thrilled to be working at Camp Cheerio. This will be Anna's 8th summer on the mountaintop, which is her self-proclaimed, favorite spot on earth. Anna loves chips and salsa and hanging out with her friends.

Stephen WilesStephen Wiles, a 13-year veteran of Camp Cheerio, will be serving as one of our Events Directors this summer. With Stephen's charismatic personality, this will be the perfect fit for him. Stephen attends West Virginia University and is studying computer engineering. Scuba diving is one of Stephen's hobbies, which has earned him the nickname of Scubasteve. Working with children brings joy to his life and he is very excited to provide fun and laughter to all this summer.

Katherine CarltonKatherine Carlton will be joining us for her 9th summer as a Senior Counselor. Katherine is from Cary NC and attends Southern Methodist University, studying Real-Estate Finance and Statistics. Seeing the campers love camp as much as Katherine did as a camper brings her great joy. Providing a positive experience in the lives of children is why Katherine loves working at Cheerio. When asked to give a personal motto, Katherine's response was, "Do Small Things with Great Love".

Gray AustinGray Austin will be joining us for his first summer at Cheerio. Gray is from High Point NC and attends NCSU. He will be a part of our Climbing Staff during Girls Camp and serving as a Senior Counselor for Coed Camp. Graybo, which is his long time nickname, enjoys playing sports or games and he loves mac-n-cheese. Paper Science Engineering and Chemical Engineering is the field Gray is currently studying.
