Celebrating 52 Years of Camping

Since 1960, Camp Cheerio has welcomed thousands of boys and girls to the mountains of North Carolina. To learn kayaking. To experience the thrill of climbing a 40-foot tower. To catch bass in a fresh water lake on a warm summer day. To create friendships and make memories that last a lifetime.

It's been an incredible 52 years.

Thousands upon thousands of people, young and old, have experienced Camp Cheerio over the years . . . from across America . . . and from around the world. Even after all this time, our goal remains the same -- to help boys and girls grow socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually.

Christian spirit is at the heart of Cheerio. We strive to help our campers grow in their relationship with God while they grow in their relationships with their peers, counselors and parents. We welcome children of all backgrounds to take part in the excitement and adventure Cheerio has to offer.

We are a camp which believes by doing - and having fun - campers will gain a sense of accomplishment and confidence in themselves. By helping campers recognize their own unique abilities, we find boys and girls will step outside their comfort zones and reach for goals far beyond what they once dreamed impossible.
