"Working at Camp Cheerio is one of the most rewarding experiences you can
give yourself. Not only can you touch the lives of children, but
you gain so much through friendships made, which will last a lifetime."
Matt Hawks, Virginia Tech
Head Counselor
|
"It all started when I was eight, counting down the days
until my parents would finally drop me off at Cheerio. Counting
down days turned into counting down hours as I anxiously waited
in line on opening day, waiting to tear into camp and claim that
top bunk. Not much has changed, I'm twenty years old and I still
count down the days until the Cheerio season begins. Working in
the beautiful mountains of North Carolina at Camp Cheerio is one
of the most rewarding experiences and something I will always anxiously
await year after year."
Catherine Shields, University of Georgia
Senior Counselor and Program Assistant
|
"As a first time counselor at Camp Cheerio I was welcomed
into this amazing family with open arms. I had the best time getting
to know the staff, spending time with my campers, and learning new
things about myself. I am so thankful to have been given such an
awesome opportunity to work at Camp Cheerio. I also enjoyed establishing
friendships that have continued after camp."
Caitlin Trapani, Elon College
Head Counselor
