Dining Hall Capital Campaign

miniature golf centerOver the past 60 years, Camp Cheerio has grown from serving 250 to almost 4000 campers each year. While much has changed and grown at camp, many of the traditions known and loved have not. In 2018, staff and volunteers prioritized the needed facility additions and renovations to provide enhanced activities, safer facilities and better accommodations. Through the generosity of a small group of donors, the first phase of the projects were completed in 2019 with the opening of The Clubhouse Miniature Golf Center and the addition of the lake boardwalk.

The next phase of expansion requires the financial support of our closest friends, alumni and camper families. We all recognize the importance of our Dining Hall in bringing our campers together; and, our facilities must be enhanced and expanded to continue to make that possible. Together, we can make this phase of the Cheerio Vision a reality. For information, contact me at

A vital aspect of the Foundation for the Future Campaign is the preservation of the core of what makes the Camp Cheerio experience unique; coming together as one in faith and friendship. This is accomplished daily within the walls of the Dining Hall through prayer before meals, sharing of the day's adventures and songs that fill the air after a fulfilling dinner. The backdrop for these incredible moments is the iconic facility that brings camp together.

As we look to the next phase of investment, the Dining Hall that serves as the core gathering site requires needed renovations and expansion to continue to serve campers for years to come. The Dining Hall project includes:

  • Kitchen Expansion
  • Dining Hall Fire Suppression System
  • Dining Hall Seating & Restroom Expansion
