Camp Cheerio Alumni

Camp Cheerio has no greater resource than our alumni! Whether you were here last summer or 50 summers ago, there are opportunities to keep Camp Cheerio in your life.

Fall and Spring Weekend Volunteering
During the spring and fall we will have groups at Cheerio nearly every weekend. These groups range from Y-Guides and Princesses, to church retreats, and even scrapbooking and quilting groups. We need friendly, energetic staff every weekend to help serve these groups and give them a great Cheerio experience. Volunteering for a weekend is a great way to re-connect with friends and get back on the mountaintop.

Annual Spring Service Weekend
Every spring, usually at the end of April, we will host an alumni service weekend. This weekend corresponds to our parent and camper open house and we need your help to get Cheerio looking its best. Come by yourself or with a group of Cheerio friends. You can even stay in a cabin together! Just don’t forget to bring some work clothes and a little elbow grease.

Opening and Closing Day Volunteers
If you have been a Cheerio camper, you probably have memories of checking in on opening day in a line for campers with medicine or without medicine. Every opening day during the summer, we need volunteers to help check our campers in at the Gym. You can even stay to help with activity scheduling! On closing days we need volunteers to help in the Camp Cheerio Store and with lost and found. This is a great way to get back to Cheerio if you only have a day.

Building the Future, Preserving the Past Campaign Giving
We rely on charitable contributions from people like you to help us give the opportunity of a Camp Cheerio experience to a camper that might not otherwise have the means to attend. Your giving can make a real difference in the life of a child because you know how powerful and life changing an experience at Camp Cheerio can be. Online Donations
