Stay Involved In Cheerio!

Few things in life are as rewarding as maintaining close ties to old -- and new -- friends at Camp Cheerio. These committees need alumni support to unite past and future generations of counselors:

Finance Committee

As an active member on the Finance Committee, you can help organize fund-raisers, establish an alumni scholarship and work with camp staff to possibly make a donation to camp.

Financial Donations: Alumni are encouraged to make tax-deductible donations to Cheerio. You will receive an Alumni Directory for a minimum donation of $10! Checks, made payable to Camp Cheerio Alumni Association, may be sent to:

Volunteer Committee

Volunteer your time to help out at camp on weekends doing various jobs ranging from kitchen work to landscaping, painting and building repair. If you have a special skill, why not consider working a day or two at Cheerio? The committee also organizes two work weekends each year--one in the Spring to help get camp ready for the new season, and one in the Fall to help close down camp for the winter.

Torch Committee

As a member of the Torch Committee, you can help "pass the torch" of Cheerio values and traditions to future generations of counselors. You can sign up to take part in a very special ceremony during staff training. Or, join C.A.M.P--The Cheerio Alumi Mentor Program--in the Summer! You will be paired with your "own" counselors and cabin, for whom you can pray, send letters and CARE packages, and maybe even visit during camp!
