2001 Annual Alumni Volunteer Weekend

Several years ago, the Cheerio Alumni Association began hosting a volunteer weekend to encourage alumni to "give back" to Cheerio in appreciation for the many ways camp has touched each of our lives. Each year the crowd has gotten a little bigger, and we hope to make 2001 the year we set the attendance record!

The volunteer weekend will be April 6-7, with Saturday the 7th being the work day. You and your familles (children are welcome!) are invited to attend at no charge — in exchange for some volunteer work on Saturday. In the past, projects have included painting, minor repairs, landscaping, planting, etc. This year we will be setting up some type of rotation system for childcare so that those with small children can attend and get a break from childcare responsibilities as a bonus.

In order to adequately plan, we will need to know the ages of the children you plan to bring, and how long you plan to stay. Millis Lodge will be available on a first come first serve basis. You must call Michaux at the High Point office to reserve a spot. If you prefer, you can e-mail him at cheerio123@aol.com.
